“We spent part of our honeymoon at Don Joaquin River Lodge. After two wonderful days at Iguazu Falls, we then headed south to the Golden Dorado capital of Argentina. We had the best of both worlds. The lodge is great and has very comfortable accommodations and every room has a stunning view of the Corriente River Delta. The guides were outstanding and we were able to catch plenty of golden dorados. What a beautiful fish! Thank you Diego and Ramon for being such good hosts. Our only complaint is that the food was so good that we all need to go on a diet. We are counting the days until we can come back this summer.”

Great lodge. Great food. Great fishing. Catching a Golden Dorado has been on my bucket list for many years. Mission accomplished! I am mostly a fly fisherman and my son mainly uses spinning equipment. The guides were obviously experts at both and knew this vast river system like they grew up here (which they did). Many times, a suggestion to cast at a specific spot would result in a strike. By the way, while my son and I were spending full days on the rivers, my wife and daughter were happily experiencing the estancia lifestyle and riding horses at the Don Joaquin ranch just across the road, which is owned by the same family.
